Dreamers Entertainment offers a wide range of positions for young and driven creatives of all technical backgrounds and experience levels. Descriptions of positions, ranked in order of required experience and time commitment, can be found below.
EXPERT | Greatest time commitment. Applicants must have worked on at least one feature-length film and/or at least two short projects (short films, web series, etc.)
ADVANCED | Large time commitment. Applicants must have worked on at least one film project of any type and/or taken on a similar role in a non-film-related project.
INTERMEDIATE | Moderate time commitment. Applicants are recommended to have prior experience, but prior experience is not required.
ENTRY-LEVEL | Lowest time commitment. Applicants are not required to have any prior experience.
EXPERT | Greatest time commitment. Applicants must have worked on at least one feature-length film and/or at least two short projects (short films, web series, etc.)
- Producer: Our producers manage production budgets, assemble the full cast and crew, plan/manage cast and crew schedules throughout production, and oversee the entire creative process from pre-production to post-production. They are always ready take on additional roles–such as location management, production design, costume design, and script supervision–when needed.
- Director: Our directors develop their own unique creative visions for each project and guide the cast and crew in the fulfillment of their visions. They oversee the entire creative process from pre-production to post-production, and have a key role in all major decisions regarding casting, visuals, and production design.
- Director of Photography: Our directors of photography work with our directors to achieve the overall visual aesthetic of our projects by storyboarding or creating shot lists before production begins. They are responsible for supervising the camera and lighting departments, and for operating camera and lighting equipment when needed.
- Editor: Our editors use advanced software–like Final Cut and Adobe Premiere–to edit footage together in a way that represents the director and director of photography’s vision. They are responsible for the majority of post-production work (assembling footage, mixing sound, color correction, visual effects, etc.)
ADVANCED | Large time commitment. Applicants must have worked on at least one film project of any type and/or taken on a similar role in a non-film-related project.
- Screenwriter: Our screenwriters write original screenplays for our film and video projects, including all scenes and dialogue. They are responsible for creating and developing the characters and plot of their stories.
- Location Manager: Our location managers scout for, secure, and supervise shoot locations for all of our projects. They submit permits, negotiate rates, and coordinate parking.
- Makeup Artist: Our makeup artists work with our directors during pre-production to design makeup looks for each character, then apply actors’ makeup during the production process. They are also responsible for special effects makeup.
- Composer: Our composers utilize their deep understanding of music to write and record original scores that emphasize the creative vision of our directors and evoke an emotional response from the audience.

- Production Designer: Our production designers work with our directors to establish the film’s aesthetic. They are responsible for creating the physical environment in which a film takes place by selecting and acquiring props, and setting up locations.
- Costume Designer: Our costume designers develop character appearances that represent the creative vision of our directors.
- Lighting Technician: Our lighting technicians work with our directors of photography to design and execute lighting plans in order to create the optimal image for each project.
- Camera Operator: Our camera operators set up and operate the cameras on set in order to capture the action onscreen.
ENTRY-LEVEL | Lowest time commitment. Applicants are not required to have any prior experience.
- Boom Operator: Our boom operators place and hold a boom microphone to record the actors’ dialogue during production.
- Script Supervisor: Our script supervisors oversee continuity during production, ensuring all actors and props are where they should be in each shot. They are responsible for notifying the crew of any inconsistencies or flaws in production.
- Camera Assistant: Our camera assistants operate the clapboard at the beginning of each take and take detailed notes on each shot to assist to the editor during post-production.
- Production Assistant: Our production assistants ensure production is on time and on schedule, and provide extra support in all areas of production.
